A Leader’s Pledge
I am the leader of a great organization and a great group of people.
I will not give up in the face of adversity, as a leader I am gifted to encourage others to turn obstacles into opportunities.
I will not give in to negative conversation, I will preserve my team and its’ members with positive input.
I will not feel sorry for myself when my efforts go unnoticed, because my reward will come in the end.
I will not sit on the sidelines, while those following me wear out or burn out; I have been given the assignment to be an encourager and to lift them up.
I will not forget to check on the well being of those following me, for they have been entrusted to my care.
I will not forget to fill the lives of my team members with words of encouragement, words of empowerment, tokens of my care and appreciation; for I am the keeper of the flame of my organization and this team I serve.
I will not forget to celebrate the members of their family to insure victories in their private world.
I can and will fulfill this assignment because I am confident of my calling as a leader, secure in my position, believe in the service I give, and I am prepared for the opportunity.
I will be enthusiastic…If I act enthusiastic I will be enthusiastic.
I will be the keeper of my attitude because I know my attitude determines my altitude.
I will be the wind beneath the wings of my team…transforming them into champions and teaching them to enjoy the journey. I will be the one hiding in the shadows to make sure they shine.
Because we are a team that beats with one heart…We make a difference in the lives we touch everyday.
To serve is to lead and I will be that servant…I am determined to make a difference in my world for the future of my organization.
I am a leader.
