Marilyn Beverley spoke Tuesday to Memorial Healthcare Auxiliary members and friends about the importance of volunteering as the organization's 2003-04 year began with a luncheon.  "Can you imagine...our state, our country without volunteers?"  asked Beverley, former president of Michigan Association of Hospital Auxiliaries, describing the volunteers who have made a difference in the lives of people. MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER, Marilyn Beverley was honored guest Tuesday, during the Memorial Healthcare Auxiliary Luncheon in the Mitchell Auditorium.  Former MAHA President, Beverley has been a member of the Munising Memorial Hospital since 1989, where she has served as president, is on the MMH Executive Board and is currently President of the MMH Board of Trustees.  "What a difference a person can make in your life!"  Beverley told those assembled.  "You are an example everyday.  You are a leader to at least three people who are watching you."  Beverley defined a hero as one "that helps everyone",  and quoted Winston Churchill with, " We make a living by what we do, we make a life by what we give!"  Raised in Owingsville, Kentucky, Beverley was recently appointed the "Honorable Marilyn R. Beverley", by Kentucky Governor Paul E. Patton.  This appointment confrimed Beverley as an ambassador of goodwill in promoting fellowship, for her contributions to her community, state, nation and world as a volunteer, leader, motivational speaker and independant missionary.
